Project STEP UP (Supporting Technology, Educators, and Parents for Upward Progress) provides resources and professional development opportunities to Kansas City, Kansas Public Schools teachers, administrators, and support staff in order to promote high-quality instruction for English Learners.

Project STEP UP promotes high-quality instruction for English Learners by providing early literacy tools to teachers, sponsoring teachers through graduate coursework toward their English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) endorsement, offering biannual professional development workshops for paraeducators and support staff, and collaborating with district staff to provide weekend English-language instruction for culturally and linguistically diverse families.
