TRIO SES

TRIO SES is a federally funded TRIO Program known nationally as Student Support Services. TRIO SES works with first-generation, limited-income students and students with disabilities by providing a supportive community for participants during their time at the University of Kansas. The program’s primary goals are to increase the college retention and graduation rates of its participants and to help them make the transition from one level of higher education to the next.

TRIO SES provides comprehensive, personalized support services to empower students to achieve academic success, including academic, career, and financial advising; tutoring and academic workshops; access to technology resources; and potential to apply for a small, program-provided grant to cover unmet financial needs. All services are free, but students must apply and be accepted to the program.

TRIO SES also houses the Beta Beta Chapter of the Chi Alpha Epsilon National Honor Society.
