Biography —
Jackasha I. Wiley is the Senior Director for Pre-College Initiatives & College Success within the Division of Diversity, Inclusion & Community Engagement. Ms. Wiley has been working in TRIO Programs in various capacities for over ten years (Upward Bound, Upward Bound Math-Science, Student Support Services & Ronald E. McNair). She holds a bachelor’s degree in History and Women and Gender Studies and a Master of Education in Social Studies Education from the Graduate School of Education. Ms. Wiley was a NJ high school Social Studies and Financial Literacy teacher. She is an active member of Kappa Delta Phi International Honor Society in Education and serves as the President for The Association for Equality and Excellence in Education (AEEE), a regional education equity advocate association and Board Member for the Council for Opportunity in Education (COE). Her passion lies in youth academic achievement and success. Along with being actively involved in urban communities through mentoring and volunteering, she also conducts research on African American males in (urban) education and learning styles and has presented her research at various conferences.
